Summary: Answer incoming calls from customers to answer inquiries and questions, handle complaints, troubleshoot problems and provide information by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide accurate directions to callers for all store locations
Answer questions regarding store policies, promotions, and general product inquiries
Document all calls clearly and thoroughly
Properly create exchanges, sales orders, credit memos, service calls, PMI inspection requests, credit adjustments and refund requests
Assist callers with changing delivery dates, converting delivery to pickup and vice versa, adding or deleting items off an order
Answer general questions regarding manufacturer’s warranties and Guardian warranty
Instruct callers on the process of starting a warranty claim
Place outbound calls to schedule deliveries of special orders, service technicians, and deliveries
Assist delivery teams who call in to report not-at-homes, damaged items, or mistakes with merchandise on delivery
Assist with other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager
Possess solid communication skills in order to handle routine calls independently
Able to communicate in a professional and courteous manner to every caller
Maintain detailed and clear notes regarding calls and be able to communicate effectively via phone, face-to-face, and through e-mail

Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to two years of related experience in customer service.
Skills and Qualifications
Administrative writing skills, verbal communication, professionalism, sensitivity to confidential matters, strong computer skills required, organization team work.
Language Ability
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word software and MS Excel spreadsheet software.
