We seek a strategic industrial engineer with distribution center experience to join our Famous Footwear distribution center team in Tejon, California.
We seek people who deliver:
•Continuous improvement and constantly seek and support improvement strategies in the supply chain to meet long-term consumer fulfillment strategies through improved speed, flexibility and capacity
•Project management through project implementation including capital, process and warehouse management systems
•Lean-strong participation in cross-functional business planning to provide a future vision of supply chain optimization as related to the company’s competitive position
•Excellent problem solving skills and a strong understanding of the supply chain and the systems involved
•A background in logistics with a lean-strong understanding of eight principles specifically 5S-Strong understanding and implementation
•Ability to identify barriers to performance and assist Leadership Team in identifying and analyzing root cause and effect relationship in order to develop action plans for resolution
•Ability to work as a team member with peers, supervisors and all levels of management
•Proven ability to lead testing and identification of new applications and processes to identify system enhancement opportunities
•Management of capital improvement plans and support of facility maintenance
•Performance of Methods Engineering studies to develop labor standards, which include, times studies and work sampling methods
•Ability to conduct Human Factors analysis to maximize ergonomic opportunities at all work stations
•Development of KPIs and reporting tools to support operations
•Ability to be the principle owner of Labor Management Systems and Budget Model
We seek people with these qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
•3-5 years distribution center experience preferred
•Advanced Warehouse Management Systems experience and skills in time and motion study
•Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
•Data Analysis skills using Access or SQL
•Functional capability in Microsoft Visio and Project
•Intermediate AutoCad skills
•WMS knowledge- PKMS preferred
•AS400 Query ability
•Lean- Working knowledge
