We seek a highly motivated transportation planner with background in logistics and passion for process improvement to join our Famous Footwear distribution center team in Lebanon, Tenn.

We seek people who:
• Analyze and develop transportation plans to ensure freight is on schedule, meeting purchase order date requirements and minimizing costs
• Serve as the information and planning liaison between product vendors and buying, product allocation and distribution center teams
• Effectively integrate return product shipments with inbound vendor product, balancing cost with product velocity
• Work with Transportation Managers to identify and efficiently resolve trailer capacity, supply chain and service issues
• Create process improvements using existing technology, formulating methods to enhance and improve existing technology, carrier costs and services
We seek people with these qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Logistics
• 1-3 years relevant logistics work experience
• Knowledge of transportation processes, including import, intermodal and domestic
• Knowledge of distribution center operations
• Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) experience preferred
• Warehouse Management System (PkMS) knowledge preferred
• Solid data analysis skills with proficiency in Microsoft Access & Excel
