We seek people who deliver:
• Development of Caleres’ corporate communications plan and development and maintenance of corporate message and voice to ensure effective communications
• Alignment of corporate communications with strategic framework, culture and concepts, promoting company image
• Ability to identify and build relationships with key departments throughout the company, advising on company-wide initiatives and communications
• Translation of company culture, concepts and messages into effective written and graphical communication, selecting proper communication channels to maximize messaging
• Development of communications tools including press releases, newsletters, executive presentations, video, web and blog copy
• Support of internal communications program, including large group meetings, internal broadcasts and company newsletter
• Maintenance of web-based properties in collaboration with IT, creative and content owners on maintenance, evaluation and upgrades to corporate website
We seek people with these qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or marketing preferred
• 5+ years communications experience preferred
• Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills
• Outgoing, collaborative personality and strong relationship-building skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
• Strong understanding of communications channels, production and distribution with working knowledge of social media tools, sites and strategies
• SharePoint-based intranet development experience preferred
