• Achieve divisional sales and gross margin goals, leading buyers to deliver compelling product offerings and effectively managing inventory
• Ensure the development and continual evolution of category vision by creating, communicating and executing strategic plans
• Establish trust with our target customers by providing high-value, trend-right assortments
• Efficiently manage investment and expense budgets, maximizing company profit potential
• Understand current merchandise trends to effectively influence future strategy and vision
We seek people with these qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; Master’s degree preferred
• 12+ years buying experience as a DMM or GMM
• 10+ years managing buying & planning teams
• Successful track record growing a large-volume, retail business in footwear, apparel or accessories; men’s & kid’s categories preferred
• Strong understanding of the retail industry & merchandising process
• Exceptional analytical, negotiation & communication skills
• Ability to travel (25% to 50%)
