Sam Edelman has an incredible opportunity for an experienced Visual Merchandising Manager to join our highly creative, forward-thinking team in New York.
We seek someone who is confident, proactive and trend-savvy, with exceptional taste and Interior Design and/or Architecture experience. You’re perfect for this position if you’re creative, solutions-driven and passionate about providing an exceptional in-store customer experience for an iconic contemporary fashion brand.
We seek people who:
• Conceptualize and design customer-facing and corporate environments that align with vision and brand direction
• Conceptualize and design retail environments
• Lead design project and concept presentations
• Create mood and vision boards
• Research brand and consumer trends on a per-project basis
• Prepare design control drawings for development team
• Collaborate with outside teams to bring design to execution
We seek people with these qualifications:
• Degree in Interior Design or design equivalent
• 5 years minimum of proven retail environment design experience, preferably with a contemporary fashion background
• Strong aesthetic sensibility and able to visually communicate through sketches, renderings, and presentations
• Solid experience in interior space planning, sourcing and specifying FF&E and finishes
• Proficient in developing schematic plans and design documentation sets for a variety of large and small projects
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficient in 2D/3D computer software programs
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels
• Able to multitask and work efficiently under tight timelines
