Position Summary:
The Steward ensures all equipment and products are received per the exact quality recipe specifications. The Steward is responsible for communication with outside vendors, as well as ensuring consistent storage, rotation, sanitation, organization and proper handling of food items.

Requirements and Working Conditions:
• One year experience in a related position in a high-volume, diverse, scratch-cooking, full-service or fine-dining restaurant.
• Basic English reading and communication skills.
• Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in multi-tasking in dynamic situations.
• Knowledge of weights, measurements, volume and cooking procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures (freezers and walk-in refrigerators).
• Continuous use of hands and arms.
• Continuous bending, reaching and twisting.
