Operations Support Technician / Restaurant Accountant

Position Summary:
The Operations Support Technician (OST) supports restaurant operations through their management team and corporate field supervision in all areas of restaurant bookkeeping and is the liaison between the restaurant and the corporate support center for Financial, Human Resources, Payroll and IT transactions. This position is based in the restaurant with an average of 32 hours Monday through Friday. The OST reports directly to the General Manager; indirectly to the Director, Accounting+Corporate Operations Support.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Process financial/payroll information.
• Conduct daily sales and cash audits.
• Assure the restaurant has sufficient currency to support the business.
• Complete new hire processing by entering staff member information into all software programs based on job description.
• Process vendor invoices and reconcile vendor statements.
• Support inventory process.
• Process time record files.
• Maintain records for HR (staff personnel files) and financials at the restaurant level.
• Support written guest communication.
• Conduct POS hardware audits and maintain system.
• Conduct Restaurant Self Risk Reviews.
• Act as liaison between corporate support center and restaurant.
• Work in the capacity of corporate “Watch Dog” in the restaurant to report any infractions outside of the established company policies and procedures.

Requirements and Working Conditions:
• Restaurant experience in operations or bookkeeping is preferred.
• Accounting experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good organizational skills.
• Accuracy with numbers.
• Experience with cash handling and banking.
• Proficiency with computers and office equipment.
• Proficient with Windows Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook a must).
• Tact when handling confidential issues.
• Must be a team player.
• Available to work starting at 6am at least one day a week.
