Host Runner

Position Summary: The Host Runner is responsible for ensuring that each guest is hosted with genuine care and attention throughout his/her dining experience with RockSugar. The Host Runner ensures that the restaurant seating is at capacity by reporting an accurate status of each table to the Host Greeter/Filler. This individual is responsible for guiding guests to the best possible table with care and friendly conversation while ensuring the guests’ satisfaction. The Host Runner is also accountable for answering the telephone and responding to questions regarding location of the restaurant, general menu contents and lost/found issues. Other responsibilities include general housekeeping of bathrooms, host area and overall cleanliness of the restaurant. As an integral part of a team, the Host Runner is responsible for continuously looking for ways to improve each guest’s experience by providing exceptional guest service and anticipating guests’ needs. Requirements and Working Conditions: • One year experience preferred working in a retail or hospitality environment. • Ability to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills. • Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time. • Ability to work effectively within a team. • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. • Basic math skills. • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed. • Continuous use of hands and arms. • Continuous bending, reaching and twisting.
