Pennrose is excited to be hiring for a Financial Reporting & Compliance Manager for our Property Support Center in Philadelphia, PA.
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining a variety of business unit and enterprise level financial and compliance reporting needs for the organization. This role will also assist with financial analysis, forecasting, support a variety of real estate transactions and work directly with executive management.
Duties & Responsibilties:
•Prepare periodic financial statements and manage external financial reporting to investors and lenders
in accordance with GAAP and other comprehensive methods of accounting.
*General accounting oversight for several ownership and enterprise level entities.
•Develop and manage systems and procedures to maintain enterprise wide financial data surrounding owned
real estate, debt, financial guarantees, contingent liabilities, project ownership, track
record, etc.
•Prepare financial analysis surrounding real estate projects and assist with supporting financings,acquisitions, dispositions and other real estate transactions.
•Assist with the preparation and analysis of comprehensive operating unit and enterprise wide budgets and forecasts.
•Assist project developers with responding to financial underwriting needs of project proposals and the requests of investors and lenders.
•Working closely with the asset management team. Develop and maintaining financial valuations of owned real estate projects.
•Assist with preparing and managing information necessary for external auditors to complete audit
reports, tax returns and other external reports.
•Assist with the coordination and management of external service providers, including auditors and
tax preparers.
•Work directly with senior executives and present financial information, issues and reports.
•Lead, mentor, coach and train colleagues. Listen to customer concerns and find solutions and
resources for them.
•Special projects and assignments as requested.
Required Education & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar discipline.
•Certified Public Accountant preferred; MBA or similar advanced degree a plus.
•3-5 years’ experience in accounting and finance. Experience in real estate operations and
development accounting, as well as multi-family or affordable housing is highly desirable.
•Advanced experience in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Generally
Accepted Accounting Principles.
•Exceptional analytical skills.
•Excellent MS Excel skills and demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, modeling and forecasting, as well as preparing valuations and analysis for real estate projects.
•Experience working with a major general ledger / enterprise accounting software system.
•Must be organized and have strong verbal and written communication skills
•Self-starter and a passion for making an impact in the organization.
•A total team player with the ability to be flexible, work in a faced paced environment and meet
deadlines.
•Requires valid driver’s license, insured vehicle and ability to travel
