Pennrose is an industry leader in the development and management of Affordable Housing. We are excited to be hiring for a Senior Corporate Accountant for our Property Support Center in Philadelphia, PA.
This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Accounting and Finance with the day-to-day reporting and cash management of all Enterprise Corporate Entities by providing analysis and support. Responsible for maintaining accurate books and records of all Enterprise Corporate Entities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assists with migration of corporate entity financial records into Yardi
• Reviews payroll records for accuracy and records biweekly payroll for all Pennrose entities.
• Submits weekly intercompany cash transfer requests/requirements to Controller and Director of Accounting
and Finance.
• Assists with the review of monthly and quarterly reporting packages.
• Reconciles corporate entities operating, payroll and other bank accounts.
• Prepares monthly financial statements and variance analysis.
• Prepares local tax returns and annual filings for applicable municipalities.
• Assists in preparation of annual budgets for corporate entities.
• Reconciles all corporate entity balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
• Prepares workpapers for annual audits by outside auditors.
• Assists with special projects as assigned by Controller, Director of Accounting and Finance and CFO.
Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 3-5 years of experience in general accounting required.
* Property Management/Development industry experience preferred but not required
• 3 or more years of financial management and supervisory experience with increasing responsibilities for
multi-faceted direction and planning
