Accounting Intern

Pennrose Management is excited to be hiring an Accounting Intern for our Support Center location in Philadelphia, PA.

This position is responsible for providing administrative and project support to all functional areas of the Accounting and Finance Department, including the day to day accounting for all assigned properties. Works closely with Property Controller and property management.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists accountants with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting to investors and agencies
• Assists with preparation and delivery of miscellaneous reports and projects
• Assists with general ledger account reconciliations
• Assists with accounting tasks such as property budget preparation, annual subsidy submissions, reserve
reimbursement requests, and updating cash and other department schedules
• Coordinates administrative function for assigned departmental projects
• Provides support to accounts receivable, accounts payable and corporate and property accounting


Required Education and Experience

• Full-time enrollment in a Bachelors Degree program at an accredited college or university
• Accounting major
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or above
• Junior or Senior standing only
• Prior internship or office experieince
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to pay close attention to detail and adhere to strict deadlines
* Ability to organize and prioritize work
* Ability to perform in a busy, multi-tasking work environment
* Valid driver's license

New associates must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
