Learning & Development Specialist

Pennrose is an industry leader in the development and management of Affordable Housing. We are excited to be hiring for a Learning and Employee Development Specialist for our Property Support Center located in Philadelphia, PA.

This position will be responsible for supporting the Learning & Employee Development’s training curriculum of Pennrose’s Property Manger on-boarding as well as the system training curriculum for the organization. The Learning & Development Specialist will be responsible for the execution of training initiatives as well as reporting of training needs and results.

Duties & Responsibilities:

-Responsible for the planning, implementation, and delivery of Pennrose’s Training curriculum. Schedule and
conduct software training for Yardi, Microsoft Office, and other systems/applications
used by the organization.
-Evaluate the design and demonstrates the ability to develop learning activities which may include classroom
training, E-Learning modules, and other multimedia solutions to support field learning.
-Collaborate with HR, IT, and Operation representatives to ensure that all new-hires receive training materials and
have the appropriate training plan (New Hire Orientation and Development Plans) in place upon their arrival, and
will schedule and deliver training in support of rollouts/deployment.
-Schedule and execute the on-site on-boarding plan for new Property Managers. Design and conduct the on-site
on-boarding plan inclusive of property operations, compliance, HR administration, and Information Technology
training.
-Customize, track and report on new hire activity through checklists and the Talent Management platform
(Halogen).
-Demonstrate expert knowledge of all core applications, develop an overview understanding of additional
applications as used in the multi-family housing industry, develop expertise in training approaches and deliver
train-the-trainer sessions for trainers and other support teams.
-Design and prepare educational aids, materials, and quick reference guides.
-Effectively interface with IT team to ensure appropriate technology is utilized for delivery and ongoing training
needs.
-Contribute to organizational roll-outs of IT solutions. Providing support during and after go-live.
-Design, evaluate and develop eLearning solutions through the application of adult learning principles and
eLearning technology tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Flash, Photoshop, and others.
-Audit training content/materials to ensure materials are up to date with site and compliance requirements and
keep training content relevant and to help drive employee engagement.
-Manage course material, create reporting & metrics through company e-learning platform to track and assign all
training.
-Increase speed of new hire performance and ramp by building & facilitating comprehensive onboarding
programs for new hires.​

Required Education & Experience:

-Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business or a related field required.
-2+ years of training experience with experience, preferably within a multi-family housing environment industry.
-At least  2 + years of working knowledge within YARDI Voyager preferred
-Background in instructional design/ curriculum development and knowledge of adult learning methods and must
possess excellent presentation skills, strong technical documentation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
-Impeccable communication skills both verbal and written.
-Requires a valid driver’s license, an insured vehicle, and the ability to travel (between properties for trainings,
etc.)
