Payroll Benefits Assistant - Part-time, work 32 hours every two weeks (0.4 FTE)
What we’re looking for in you
•You will provide a variety of duties including; support to HR and Payroll; data entry, review and audit of payroll and time and attendance records, track new hire documents, process terminations, cobra and exit interviews. Also will assist with ACA testing, benefit open enrollment and payroll year end processing. For more details see detailed description of job duties below.
•Post-secondary education and healthcare / hospital environment is preferred.
•Minimum 2 years of related experience and proficiency in MS Word and Excel required.
•High School diploma required.
•This position will work a part-time 0.4 FTE (32 hours every two weeks), with day shift hours M-F. The final work schedule to be determined.

•Strong communication skills, teamwork and ability to flex with the needs of the department is critical. Great attention to detail is required. Ability to plan and organize duties and work flow with variety and some complexity with good follow through and timeliness is required. Will demonstrate excellent customer services skills, always keeping our customer as the highest priority.
The purpose of the Payroll Benefits Assistant role
As a Payroll Benefits Assistant you will provide support to the payroll department including data entry, review/audits of payroll and time and attendance records for accuracy, formula audit, pay code audit, RN casual department change, employee giving campaign, severance maintenance, etc. Track cobra payments and new hire files for completion. Provide basic HRIS reporting, myTime reporting, and enter/process terminations into Lawson system. Provide a variety of routine office/clerical duties to support the payroll function. Produce photo ID’s; take photos, enter in badge system, myTime, assigns access and issues badges. You will also support payroll with ACA regulations and reporting, year end payroll reporting and benefit annual open enrollment.
