Inpatient Pharmacist - .8 FTE

.8 FTE
Hours - 7:00am – 5:00pm. Includes Saturday, Sunday and Holiday rotation 8:00am – 12:00pm.

Main responsibilities: The Pharmacist has responsibility and accountability for the operation of the Hospital’s medication system. Assists the Pharmacy Manager in maintaining high quality pharmacy services in a cost effective manner. Maintains an environment of collaboration and cooperation with other hospital departments and with other colleagues in the HealthPartners family. Provides continuous quality improvement by evaluating and improving services of the department to ensure best practice and provide a positive customer services environment. Ensures that all aspects of departmental operations are performed in an environment that optimizes patient/resident and workplace safety as well as fiscal responsibility. Ensures compliance with all departmental and organizational policies and procedures. Assists in the oversight of regulatory standards and processes to ensure the compliance and accreditation within the scope of pharmacy practice. Responsible to give direction to pharmacy technicians and oversight of their work. Assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s needs in relation to age and proved the care needed.

Qualifications include:
• Registered Pharmacist with Wisconsin license
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills- written and verbal
• Must maintain the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to patients of all age groups (neonatal through geriatric).
• BLS certified for inpatient pharmacy
