.8 FTE or 1.0 FTE - Primary Care Clinic is open Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 6:30pm; Friday from 7:00am - 5:00pm and Saturday 8:00am - 12:00pm. This position will be 4 days a week, rotating Saturdays. One late night will be required.

The Clinic Assistant (CMA or LPN) assists Health Care providers by preparing patients for examinations according to policies and procedures ensuring patients receive services in a timely fashion. This includes retrieving records, verifying medications and history with patients, and completing appropriate paperwork with patients. Also responsible for assisting Health Care Providers with tests and/or injections as directed. Maintains all appropriate and required medical records. This Clinic Assistant also helps with phone line and message center traffic and assistance. The successful candidate will also work with refill medications and urgent care for patients as needed.

Qualifications include: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse program. Certification as a medical assistant would be required within 6 months of hire. Ability to work independently with minimal instruction as well as in a team setting. Knowledge of human anatomy and function and medical terminology required. BLS required. Must possess technical skills such as performing vital signs, spirometry, audiogram, nebulizer, peak flow meters, blood pressure equipment, oxygen use, allergy injections, pulse oximetry, colposcopy and vasectomy tray set ups, medication refills, medication administration, computer, fax and copier use. EMR software use preferred. Phone etiquette required.
